These terms govern the booking of catering and food experience services provided by CHUPI, MORFI Y AMOR, S.L. (hereinafter, Inquiet Studio) for celebrations, private dining, brand and corporate events, pop-ups and special projects. Anything agreed in writing in each quote takes precedence over these general terms.
1. Enquiry and quote
Every event starts with a conversation. Based on what you tell us (format, date, place, number of guests, style), we prepare a tailor-made proposal and quote detailing the services included: food, drinks, front-of-house and kitchen staff, equipment, set-up, transport and any extras.
- Private clients: prices are given as the final price, including VAT.
- Companies: prices are stated plus VAT (for example, €20 + VAT).
- The quote is valid for 30 days from the date it is sent. After that, it may be updated according to availability and produce prices.
- Prices on the website or in brochures are indicative and are not a binding offer.
- Venue visits, tastings or menu trials, if agreed, will be stated in the quote together with their cost, if any.
2. Booking the date
The date is booked once the client accepts the quote in writing (an email is enough) and pays a 50% deposit of the total amount. Until then, we cannot guarantee availability.
3. Payments
Unless the quote sets out a different schedule:
- 50% when booking the date, as a deposit.
- The remaining 50%, before the event takes place.
- Services added during the event (extra hours, additional drinks, extra guests…) are invoiced afterwards.
Payments are made by bank transfer. We issue an invoice for every payment.
4. Number of guests
- The final number of guests must be confirmed no later than 15 days before the event. That number is the minimum that will be invoiced, even if fewer people attend.
- If the number of guests increases after that date, we will do our best to accommodate it, subject to the availability of produce and staff, at the per-person price in the quote.
- A significant reduction in the number of guests compared with the initial quote may lead to a review of the per-person price.
5. Menu, allergies and intolerances
- The menu is finalised together with the client. We work with seasonal produce, so we may replace an ingredient with another of equivalent quality if the market requires it, giving notice in advance whenever possible.
- Information on the 14 allergens that must be declared (Regulation (EU) 1169/2011) is available for all our dishes to clients and guests.
- Allergies, intolerances and special diets (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free…) must be notified no later than 15 days before the event, stating how many people and, if you wish, the table. We will prepare suitable alternatives.
- All allergens are handled in our kitchen. We take measures to prevent cross-contamination, but we cannot guarantee the complete absence of traces. Severe allergies must be stated explicitly.
- For food safety reasons, leftover food cannot be kept for consumption after the service, unless agreed in advance and under the client's responsibility.
6. Venue, set-up and timings
- The client is responsible for ensuring that the venue is available and has the necessary permits, and will provide access for unloading, set-up and dismantling at the agreed times. If the venue has special requirements (difficult access, water or power supply, support kitchen…), they must be stated before the quote is finalised and may involve an additional cost.
- The quote includes the service duration stated in it. If the event runs longer, the team's extra hours will be calculated according to each quote and the characteristics of the event.
- If the venue or the client hire other suppliers, we will coordinate with them as needed, but we are not responsible for their services.
7. Equipment
The equipment we provide (tableware, glassware, linen, furniture, kitchen equipment…) remains the property of Inquiet Studio or our suppliers. Breakages, losses or damage caused by guests or by third parties outside our team will be charged at replacement cost.
8. Alcoholic drinks
We do not serve alcoholic drinks to anyone under 18. Our team may stop serving alcohol to anyone showing clear signs of intoxication or behaviour that puts others at risk.
9. Changes and cancellations by the client
Cancellations and changes must be notified in writing to inquietbcn@gmail.com.
- Cancellation more than 30 days in advance: the deposit is refunded.
- Cancellation between 30 and 8 days before: the 50% deposit is non-refundable.
- Cancellation 7 days or less before: the 50% deposit is non-refundable and, in addition, 20% of the outstanding amount (the remaining 50%) is payable.
- Change of date: considered case by case, depending on availability and the circumstances of the event.
Catering services for a specific date are excluded from the right of withdrawal, under article 103(l) of Spanish Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007 (General Law for the Protection of Consumers and Users).
10. Cancellation by Inquiet Studio and force majeure
If we are unable to provide the service for reasons attributable to us, we will refund all amounts paid in full. If the event cannot take place due to force majeure (severe weather, health restrictions or decisions by the authorities, among others), we will look for a new date together and, if that is not possible, we will refund the amounts paid minus expenses already incurred and justified.
11. Photographs
We may photograph the set-up and dishes to show our work on the website and social media, without identifiable guests unless they give us permission. If you would rather we didn't publish anything from your event, just tell us.
12. Liability
Inquiet Studio complies with the food hygiene and safety regulations that apply to food handling and has civil liability insurance. We are not liable for damage caused by improper use of equipment, by the client's failure to comply with these terms (for example, not notifying allergies) or by causes beyond our control.
13. Calendar events
Pop-ups do not require booking a place. For workshops, if you cancel or do not attend, the amount paid is not refunded, as the place was reserved for you; you may, however, transfer it to another person by letting us know before the workshop. If we cancel, we refund the full amount.
14. Complaints, governing law and jurisdiction
If something didn't go well, write to us at inquietbcn@gmail.com and we will reply as soon as possible. Official complaint forms are available to consumers.
These terms are governed by Spanish law. For consumers, the courts of their place of residence will have jurisdiction; in all other cases, the courts of Barcelona.
This is a translation for information purposes. In case of discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.
